I’m proud to announce the issuance of U.S. Patent #12,667,723 B2 — “Systems and Methods for Treating Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Disorders and Other Medical Conditions.”
This patent covers novel methods and devices for administering transcutaneous auricular vagal nerve stimulation (taVNS) as a treatment for autism spectrum disorder and related developmental conditions.
For over a decade, I’ve been documenting the role of autonomic nervous system dysfunction in ASD and the profound impact that reducing neuroinflammation and restoring vagal tone can have on patient outcomes. This patent represents an important step in formalizing and protecting this work for the families we serve.
This builds on my previous patent (U.S. Patent #10,335,396 — Methods of Reversing Chronic Autonomic Nervous System Damage) and the broader clinical framework of The Nemechek Protocol™.
